Description
The grey to slightly brownish highly porous Galapagos Rocks are great for the realization of natural-looking aquascapes. These exotic rocks are collected on the coasts of the Galapagos Islands. They are fantastic for the creation of expressive underwater landscapes, and epiphytic plants like moss, aquatic fern, Bucephalandra or Anubias take root here very easily.
Under water, Galapagos Rocks assume a darker colour. These natural rocks are neutral in water and do not add hardness. Their highly porous surface is ideal useful bacteria in the aquarium, which can settle and thrive on the gigantic surface formed by the pores.
These spectacularly structured natural stones are perfect for freshwater aquariums and terrariums, and they can be planted with epiphytes and mosses in addition. These stones do not contain lime and therefore do not increase the water hardness.
