Description

Mulberry leaves are a common food supplements for shrimp, crayfish and snails in the aquarium contributing to the overall well-being of these animals (e.g. improve moulting) due to their higher protein content and calcium.

These leaves also contain important and valuable fiber, vitamins, minerals and various trace elements for shrimp, crayfish, crabs and snails. In addition, the decomposing leaves provide an important basis for a nutritious biofilm.

Due to the relatively soft cell structure of these leaves, shrimp, crayfish and snails can quickly start consuming these leaves.  Although the leaves initially float on the water surface, they sink relatively quickly compared to other leaves.  These leaves can stay in the aquarium without harming your water parameters. Shrimps, crabs, snails and crayfish tend to return to continue foraging and eating these leaves later.

Depending on the number of invertebrates in the aquarium, we recommend that you add between 1 and 3 mulberry leaves for every 20L of water.
